I have had the small zippo for some time which I use for lighting my wood stoves. If there is a strong draught in the stove it was difficult to light but with this larger and more powerful model there are no problems.

It is well made and has a fuel level indicator.
As a rifle shooter it is important that the trigger hand and finger is kept warm during competitions. The Zippo handwarmer is the best product that I have found for this purpose. 12 hours from a fill is more than enough for a full day on the range. This is a quality product in keeping with thr zippo rsnge of lighters.

This was my first zippo from this website its a lovely design and the zippo is nice to hold anyone who is a animal lover, a collector of zippo's or just loves wolfs this is a perfect item for them. The delivery was very fast and I was so pleased i have purchased 4 more zippo's to date.
the box was great..lighter was already placed inside..I unfortunately forgot to order the leather case to go with it..so just remember to do that!!

A really nice lighter, the hinge is quirky and highlights the period in which it was designed. Nice bit of engraving on it was the final touch, comes in a great 1930"s style presentation box as well ! Get one !!!

I brought this lighter about 3 weeks ago it has served me well, great to look at and get many comments about its good glossy finish.
Product bought as gift, no complaints heard (yet). Looks just like the picture - matt black with red detail - which was comforting for future reference. Very good little lighter. Reliable and well priced. The patten is engraved to an exellent standard and the finish was well, SHINY! ONly problem so far is fuel evaporates quickly but that is a fault with all zippos anyway. Exellent lighter really is windproof and lovely case finish and pattern. I would definitely recommend to anyone who doesnt like wasting using matches for anything in the wind when they get blown out and anyone who just wants a cool light!

I have used a Zippo for years and have always loved it. I decided to buy a new one as the old one was getting a bit tired and loose on the hinge. I am delighted with my purchase. It was bought as a replacement for one which was given to me as a gift but which was subsequently mislaid/stolen. I have always liked the quality and feel of Zippo's but never liked the petrol ones (I'm one of these folk who thinks the petrol "tastes" the cigarette). When the gas ones became available, I couldn't wait to have one. This has a lovely feel, is weighty and of excellent quality. Can be awkward to fill but, other than that, absolutely no complaints.
I am very pleased with this product! It looks great and works well too! Just watch out because sometimes the inside bit of the lighter moves up slightly and can make the lighter harder to close! I got my name engraved and it looks really cool! Also i got confused with the dispatch dates and stuff but i emailed-in... they are great and patient with their customers, i will be using this website again!

Bought an engraved one for my wife -good service, fast delivery. She suffers from raynauds (circulation problem), and we've tried gel packs -ok, but heat output diminishes with multiple use, charcoal sticks -ok but stink! but she loves this one -lasts ages and is odourless. First full use lasted about 9hrs -went out twice but got hang of it now. Second time 1/2 fill 6hours plus+. TIP: when it seems to be fading, raise it out of bag about 1inch to get more air -give it a gentle squeeze in the middle, will boost its output/duration

Bought these for a christmas present for a relative that works outside, had them engraved as well. They arrived so quickly even with the engraving. Really nice.
Purchased one of these early Dec 2010 just before the major freeze up and used it whilst outside on nights in -8 degrees celsius. What a fantastic piece of kit. It stays warm (Quite hot actually) for up to 20 hours on a full fill. I highly recommend this shiny bit of kit.

I can't comment on the performance of this product as it was purchased as a christmas gift, although the product does look to be constructed to the normal zippo standards. The service supplied by alloutdoor.co.uk was very efficient, would recomend as a retailer and would shop with them again.

Fantastic little product, we have been buying disposable hand warmers for years costly and don't last long, we filled it first day, got it going and put a timer on to see how long it lasted so the result was started it at 8pm and at 9am the next day it started cooling down so a excellent 12 hours of full heat out of it. Liked it so much I am going to buy two more for christmas presents.

I was sick of the problems with butane lighters for a pipe - unreliable build quality and always burning my thumbs. I've been through more than a few gas lighters at various price ranges, and haven't found anything as reliable as this - and for a very reasonable price. In my mind, the basic requirements for a good pipe lighter are reliability, a large soft flame, and most important, no requirement to hold down a lever or button to burn your thumb whilst lighting the pipe. I had three alternatives, a very expensive 'Old Boy' type lighter, matches or a Zippo. Having bought this Zippo, I have no regrets. It lights reliably every time, and provides a good soft flame that doesn't scorch my pipes. If you are concerned about petrol taste, don't worry, it's not an issue. If you are experiencing the same frustration I had with butane lighters, then buy a Zippo pipe lighter and be done with it. They are cheap enough, as is the fuel, and probably cheaper than matches in the long run.

One of best Zippo's I ever had. Matt black finish with a printed letter 'A' in red. It reached me in perfect packed conditions, and was just what i expected. Reached me in about 3-4 days from the time of order !

Classic Zippo delivered promptly and in good condition. I wish I had gotten the engraving in the middle not the bottom but that was my choice. The plain polished surface is a little slippery if , like me, you do Zippo tricks but "less is more." Love it and would recommend this site.

Use to light a cooker, gas fire etc. Its a cracking bit of kit. It takes the butane type fuel not the liquid stuff you stick in the hand warmers and lighters.
I bought this to replace my old bronze Zippo pipe lighter, which had been stolen. I've had a zippo pipe lighter for the best part of 20 years now, and they are excellent. My only regret is that the black casing seems now to be the only design option. I would have liked to replace like wih like. But it's still the best pipe lighter around, in my opinion.

I was sick of butane lighters which fell to pieces after just a few weeks of use. I was dubious about ( old fashioned ? ) petrol lighters, but thought that I would take a chance, as the prices are so reasonable. My Zippo is now my constant companion, being guaranteed to light when others fail. Clean, taste-free, lights first time every time, doesn't burn fingers ... where butane might. I have been so pleased that I bought my son one for his birthday. He is a forester, so his comments are awaited with interest. There's only one design for the pipe-lighter, but the others ?? what a choice !!

This is an excellent product, it really does exactly what it is designed for. With one lighter fuel refill the heat lasts up to 12 hours, some care is needed when filling as it can be a bit fiddly, otherwise perfect.
